CCleaner is one
of the popular software among computer users around the world - which is
often used to remove unused files on the computer quickly. Previously CCleaner was acquired by a leading securities company, Avast.
Although now under Avast, however, it does not prevent CCleaner from becoming a victim of hacker attacks.
Today, CCleaner confirms which hacker has attacked a computer network and includes malicious code that allows hackers to steal some data.
The affected versions are currently CCleaner 5.33.6162 and also CCleaner Cloud 1.07.3191. Both affected versions are only for Windows users, and only 32-bit versions.
As always, users are advised to update to the latest version to avoid becoming a hacker.
