Facebook Testing Face Detection Features To Get Access To Account Back

 

Today, if you forget your password or access to your Facebook account, it needs to be via SMS code verification or by email. Now, the social site giant is seen testing a new method, using facial recognition support to gain access back to your account.

Facebook tests this method to make sure it is your account by scanning the face, giving you direct access to the Facebook account you forgot the password.

At the moment, Facebook is still on the test stage - and if it goes well, and the identification feature works as expected, it is not impossible for us to see it widely introduced to consumers.

Facebook itself has today a highly advanced facial recognition support - where it can suggest you with tags on uploaded photos automatically. So it's not impossible to see Facebook looking at this arena.
