Intel Introduces Intel Coffee Lake CPU Officially

Intel's eighth generation CPU, Intel Coffee Lake S seems to be available in the market soon, and the company has already announced a special specification for this CPU series, which is said to be present with a 25 percent better than the Kaby Lake series CPU.

The Coffee Lake CPU series is also a series of Intel mainstream CPUs present with CPUs with 6 cores and 12 threads as well as the first Intel Core i3 CPU with 4 cores and 4 threads.

These CPUs include Intel Core i7-8700K, Intel Core i7-8700, Intel Core i5-8600K, Intel Core i5-8400, Intel Core i3-8350K and Intel Core i3-8300. The latest processing chip is built using a renewed 14nm process, and has a TDP (Thermal Design Power) as high as 95W, making the CPUs present with a considerable amount of energy consumption.

As before, all Intel K series CPUs can be overclocked, with Intel Core i-8700K CPU capable of moving at 4.7GHz at TurboBoost only.

Apart from improved performance compared to Intel Kaby Lake CPU, Intel Coffee Lake CPU also comes with a number of new features, including support for a 40-lane PCIe 3.0, DDR4 memory usage with 2666MHz base speed, Intel XMP technology improvements (XMP 2.0) and also the ability to overclock each CPU core specifically.

As previously mentioned, the Intel Coffee Lake series of CPUs is also the first series with the Intel Core i3 CPU that comes with 4 core CPUs and 4 threads, as well as the first Core3 i3 CPU that can be overclocked. According to Intel's chart, Core i3-8350K CPU is capable of overclocking

Intel also said that these CPUs can only be used along with the Z370 motherboards, because although this motherboard uses the same LGA1151 socket with Z270 motherboards, this latest master power design is different from previous models, making this Coffee Lake CPU not suitable for use with motherboards for Kaby Lake.

All Intel Coffee Lake CPUs will be present in the world market on October 5, at a price to be inform soon.
