This year Apple looks more serious in producing devices with the best camera capabilities on the market. The result is the iPhone 8 Plus crowned as among the three devices with the best camera capabilities according to DXOMark. The
iPhone camera's capabilities may be further enhanced because Apple is
reportedly taking over camera infringement features of InVisage cameras.
InVisage develops Quantum Film technology on camera sensors. This nano-tech Quantom Film Layer allows each pixel to capture three times the HDR information compared to a regular sensor. This will make the picture brighter, more vibrant and sharper. This technology also solves the problem of rolling shutter when taking video.
Apple did not announce this purchase but InVisage employees were able to change their workplace information to Apple on the LinkedIN site. The takeover deal is believed to have been carried out in July this year according to two sources.
