Intel Confirm That Intel Coffee Lake CPU Using Different Pin Configuration Compared To Kaby Lake Main Board
Siri CPU Intel Coffee Lake is still using LGA 1151 socket, but the pin configuration on the Coffee Lake board is quite different from Kaby Lake and Skylake as it uses different pins.
According to David Schor, a semiconductor semistrant and computer recomendation, Intel has altered their pin by adding the number of electrical and earth pins, and reducing the number of saving pins on the motherboard to the Coffee Lake CPU.
This means that if you want to upgrade your computer's CPU to Coffee Lake, you will need to buy the latest Intel Z370 motherboard to use it.
