Microsoft typically supports their software around 10 years from the launch date. Now, over a decade since Office 2007 was launched, Microsoft would eventually end support for Office 2017 from October 10, 2017.
That means, after that date, Microsoft will no longer offer security updates or bug fixes, nor technical support for Office 2007.
Users are asked to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Office, or to subscribe to Office 365 services.
Existing Office 2007 users can still continue to use it on computers to access documents, but as stated earlier, no further support and updates will be offered.
Microsoft also said the Outlook 2007 software would stop contacting Office 365 on October 31, 2017.
