Percentage of devices running Android Nougat continues to increase as well as Android Oreo. As of 2nd October, 15.8% of devices now use Nougat with 15.8% still on version 7.0. This is an increase of 15.8% in the last month. The Android Oreo percentage is now at 0.2% and this month makes the debut in the Android version of the smartphone pie chart.
The highest percentage version is still Android Marshmallow with 32.%. This was followed by Lollipop (27.7%) and KitKat (17.5%). These three popular versions of Android once again show a percentage decrease compared to last month. The percentage of usage of Android Nougat is still below 20%. In comparison, iOS 11, which only lasted a couple of weeks, has already reached 20% in just a few days.
