The initial
rumors before the Galaxy S8 are launched is that they will be equipped
with a built-in fingerprint scanning system on the screen. But after it was revealed clearly this ura-ura was not true at all. Samsung is finally forced to place a fingerprint scanner on the back panel and accept criticism as it is difficult to access.
Most recently a patent has been filed by Samsung for a fingerprint scanning system built into the screen. Its location is at the bottom of the screen. This is the same as the system shown by Qulacomm on Vivo devices at MWC Shanghai mid-year. Unlike Apple, Samsung feels that users still need fingerprint scanners instead of facial scans.
