Samsung earlier
this year has introduced Samsung DeX support that lets you connect the
smartphone to a custom dock, and use it as a computer. However, for the time being, Samsung only offers it as a version of Android that is optimized for desktop display.
However, moving forward, Samsung is now announcing plans to make it easy for users to run any version of Linux operating system via DeX support. Samsung calls it Linux on Galaxy.

It still needs
to be connected via a dedicated DeX dock, and users will need to
download an application before it can add variants of their Linux
operating system to desktop display.
Samsung says the feature will be offered in beta soon, and those with Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and Galaxy Note8 can sign up for interest today.
