2 Billion Active Android Devices And 82 Billion Applications Downloaded In The Google Play Store

Continued from the SEA 2017 Google Playtime event, Google has also provided some interesting facts about downloading apps in the Google Play Store lately.

One of these is the number of apps that have been downloaded through the Google Play Store. Google has stated that to date, there are 2 billion active devices and 82 billion applications have been downloaded through their application pages.

Of the large number of their application builders, it is known that 35 percent of them are now able to build applications that will be downloaded one million times in a month. This is also related to the increase in builders' revenue of 150 per cent year-on-year recorded this past.

Google also said that quality improvements and the number of applications by developers from the South East Asian region came from the company's quest to launch events such as Indie Games Developer Day and Indonesia Games Contest attended by various application developers throughout the region.

In the meantime, Google has also begun selling Google Play gift cards in more than 700,000 locations in 30 countries around the world, and this, along with the ability to purchase applications via telco, allows more people to buy apps or make in-app purchases more easily.
