Broadcom May Bid to Take Qualcomm

Broadcom is one of the world's leading semiconductor companies where the products are WiFi cipsets, GPUs, chips for networks, and several others. The company is led by Hock E. Tan.

 
Most recently, Bloomberg reports that Broadcom will soon bid to take on Qualcomm. Qualcomm itself is a company well-known for their chip processing offerings that are widely used on mobile devices. According to the same report, this acquisition may have reached $ 100 billion.

As always, this is just a rumor and a preliminary ura. With Qualcomm itself fighting against Apple for some patents, it might be the process behind the takeover will be a little bit longer than usual - if Broadcom wants to take over Qualcomm.
