Facebook Messenger today introduced photo sharing at 4K resolution. With this new function, the maximum image size is increased to 4,096 x 4,096 pixels. With this large size, all the objects in the picture will look clearer. Facebook promises the delivery of photos will still be fast even at 4K resolution.
This feature is enabled for users in US, Canada, France, Australia, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea first. It will then be activated to other users of the country later. Only Android and iOS platforms are currently supported.
