Intel And AMD Working To Integrate Radeon GPU On Intel Core Chip

Intel and their closest competitors, AMD today announced something surprising - in which both sides will work together in designing and integrating Intel Core chips with Radeon graphics support - thus enabling laptop generation with Intel Core chips and good graphics support.

This new chip product will be part of the Intel Core Generation-8 series. As a result, thin-sized laptops can be produced, but at the same time offering good graphics power to play the latest video games.

It is said that the special GPU developed by AMD is only for Intel, and supports HMB2 (High Bandwidth Memory 2), as well as embedded Multi-Die Interconnect Bridge support. Using EMIB it offers modular support - simplifying Intel to easily combine chips with different processing designs. This indirectly reduces the overall size, while utilizing smaller memory power compared to traditional chip designs.

Full information on Intel Core processing chips with a combination of Radeon graphics is still unknown and is expected to be shared in a few months. The laptop that uses this chip combination is expected to be present in early 2018.
