Counterpoint firms issued a statement that Oppo was China's largest
producer in the third quarter of 2017 with a stake of 18.9%. This is an increase of 16.% in the same quarter last year. They are in front of Huawei and Vivo each with a stake of 18.6%.

Xiaomi was fourth with 13.8% followed by Apple with 10%. The five largest producers in China showed a rise in the market compared to last year. Samsung seems to be facing problems to compete in the world's number one smartphone market. They are only third in the device category priced at $ 500 and above. In China the device market priced between $ 300-399 shows the best improvement.
