Piaggio Vespa Elettrica Will Start For Sale In 2018

Vespa is an iconic motorcycle that is immortalized in the classic Roman Holiday movie and the famous comic Lagak A Mahmud. Despite being over seventy years old, the basic design of a Vespa has not changed much from the original model. Next year the electric Vespa will be fully marketed for owners who are concerned with classical style but with the problem of pollution.

Piaggio Vespa Elettrica is equipped with a 4kW electric motor that they say is more powerful than the 50cc engine. With a single charge Vespa Elettrica has a range of operations up to 100 kilometers. A hybrid model will also be marketed which doubles its operating distance. The LCD display system replaces the analog meter. Speed, time, temperature, and battery charge are displayed on this LCD.

There is no information about the prices at this time. The question is whether Vespa is still Vespa if it no longer produces enough engine noise?
