The virtual assistant function is now considered to be a portable device. It reminds the user of a complete appointment with the best time to get out of the house to classify congestion. Among the latest virtual assistants on the market are Bixby which was launched by Samsung this year. In terms of ability it is still behind Google Assistant but Samsung is committed to making it more reliable.
According to The Korea Herald, Samsung took over a South Korean-based Fluently intelligence firm. Fluently produces an artificial intelligence system that provides users with recommendations based on the given questions. For example, it will ask what type of food to try when questioned about a nearby restaurant. Their release system can be used in Telegram, KaKao Talk, Line and WhatsApp.
Fluently is not the first artificial intelligence firm to take over by Samsung. Previously they had purchased VIIV which consisted of Siri's original builders. Artificial intelligence and virtual assistant are two important branches for Samsung for their smart ecosystem. Bixby 2.0 which is being developed will control smart devices under the Samsung SmartThings umbrella.
