Last month we
reported Snap Inc failed to sell 150,000 spectacular Spectacles glasses
that were used exclusively with the Snapchat app. The
unsold dump was disclosed, causing Snap Inc to incur losses of $ 40
million (~ RM169 million) according to the latest financial reports
issued by them.
The unsold Spectacles stocks as well as poor financial reporting led stock Snap Inc to 20% over the last few days. Producing wearable devices is a high-risk setting.
Google stops Glass sales because of poor response. Apple is the company that will try to produce their eyeglasses with AR technology. The question here is whether Apple will eventually succeed or follow the steps of Google and Snap Inc?
