Canalys, one of the analysts and research bodies, has now released their data on the sale of virtual reality set devices. According
to Canalys, the third quarter of 2017 saw a positive increase, and for
the first time the production of virtual reality sets exceeded the
number 1 million units in a quarter.
In terms of brands sold, it was preceded by Sony through the PlayStation VR, followed by Oculus, and in third place was HTC with HTC Vive. Sony only said it had released about 490,000 PlayStation VRs in the last quarter of 2017.
Canalys targets this virtual reality set or reality-mix will continue to grow in the months to come - not to mention the participation of Microsoft and other manufacturers using the Windows Mixed Reality Platform.
