Based on the latest figures shared by Google, there are still 26.3% devices using Android Lollipop. This made it the second-largest version of Android after Marshmallow. Today Google has confirmed the support of Google Assistant on smartphones that are still using Android Lollipop.
Google Assistant update will be accepted to English users in United States, UK, India, Australia, Canada and Singapore. Spanish users in the United States, Mexico and Spain will also receive Assistants on their Lollipop devices. It is also accepted by users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil and Korea.
