Qualcomm and Blackberry are not companies that are often associated with the automotive industry. But both are now working together to develop the system used on connected vehicles. The QNX Hypervisor 2.0 software developed by Blackberry is used to run computer systems and vehicle entertainment.
The Snapdragon 820A processor when combined with this software is a powerful combination to control the connected vehicle. The development of the system for self driving vehicles is believed to be a battleground of technology companies in the near future. Google, Apple and Samsung all already have an interest in this arena.
