Qualcomm has finally shared more about the latest Snapdragon 845 processing chip and will be used on various major devices in 2018. Snapdragon 845 will use 10nm-based builds that offer powerful processing with efficient energy consumption. It offers a mix of Cortex-A75 designs (up to 2.8GHz) as well as Cortex-A55 (up to 1.8Ghz). This eight-core chip offers performance speed of over 19% compared to previous Snapdragon 835.
Qualcomm also said it offered more than 25% performance in terms of CPU, while the Adreno 630 included faster graphics processing over 30% than ever before. With its high processing and graphics power, it also offers a better experience for virtual reality and reality-combinations. For snapshots and photo processing, Snapdragon 845 comes with Spectra 280 - includes video recording support up to 4K at 60fps.
Qualcomm also includes the modern Qualcomm X20 LTE on their latest processing chip with a mutual gain of 1.2Gbps. A number of devices using the Snapdragon 845 are expected to be introduced starting 2018, including from Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony and so on.
