Not all users need a powerful, large-sized PC. Often a moderate-powered PC is sufficient for daily tasks in the office. For these users, the mini PC is the best choice. At CES 2018, Asus has launched two mini PCs and a new Chromebox.
Asus PB40 supports the eightth generation Intel Pentium Silver processor, a choice of up to six USB-C ports and HDMI / DisplayPort / VGA connections. The compact frame design allows this mini-PC to be vertically aligned with additional accessories such as optical drives. There is also a fanless case option when using the Intel Celeron processor.
Asus PN40 is another mini PC that has a lower specification than PB40. It has a compact size of 4.4 "x 4.4" x 1.9 "with weight below 700 grams. It supports the eighth generation Intel Pentium Silver processor. There are optional I / O USB-A, USB-C and VGA.
Finally, the ASUS Chromebox 3 also supports the eighth generation Intel Core processor, DDR4-2400 memory. There is an output support through HDI and DislayPort with a resolution of up to 4k UHD. Like the two mini-PCs above, it also has a USB-C port and 802.11ac WiFi support.
All three compact computers will enter the market in the second quarter of 2018. The selling price will be announced when it launches later.
