Intel, AMD & ARM Affected With New Vulnerability - Meltdown & Specter

 Meltdown Spectre
Following an earlier report yesterday said the Intel chips were affected with the new security vulnerabilities, now securities researchers have already seen their studies, and named the new vulnerability under the name Meltdown and Specter. Each one affects almost all of the latest processing chips used on computers, mobile devices, and web servers.

This Meltdown and Specter uses a vulnerability in processing to access data and information that is typically inaccessible to other programs. This data may also involve sensitive data like passwords, and so on.

From the published study, the Meltdown vulnerability was only found to have an impact on Intel processing only, but Spectre was seen to impact Intel chips, and a number of AMD and ARM chips.

This at once makes Spectre threatening almost the whole device. Researchers also say they have yet to find any reports that users are being hacked with both vulnerabilities for now.

To overcome this, it is seen to be done through the operating system update. Google has begun introducing updates to Android through monthly security updates, as well as the same thing for Linux operating systems. Microsoft has also begun offering security updates for the latest development version - and the same thing Apple has done.
