Samsung has previously taken over Harman where in addition to their interesting audio support, they also gain access to automotive technology developed by them. Today, today at CES 2018, Samsung is introducing a platform for their own self driving technology, named as DRVLINE.

The Samsung DRVLINE will combine hardware and software offerings to facilitate vehicle manufacturers to produce steering vehicles. Vehicle manufacturers can also make modifications to this platform, and are not fully tied to this DRVLINE technology offering - in contrast to several other platforms.

Samsung will offer an ADAS system equipped with cameras to alert you when switching routes, front-facing alerts, identifying pedestrians, and stopping vehicles in an emergency.

Samsung is expected to offer this system to vehicle manufacturers beginning this year - but does not name who their collaborators are currently.
