Samsung Patented Front Camera Located On Behind The Smartphone Screen

The madness of the frameless smartphone design makes the upper and the lower side of the smartphone become smaller. The use of 100% screen on the front is still impossible because of the need to put sensors, cameras and handles. So there's a manufacturer using a notch like the iPhone X or a camera on the upper side like Mi Mix. Samsung tries to solve this problem by placing the camera behind the device screen.

A patent filed by them shows the camera, sensors and earbuds behind the device's screen. This patent was filed in 2016 and still shows the use of the physical home button on the front. Just a few weeks ago the fingerprint scanner built on the screen has been shown by Vivo. Perhaps in the future the dream of a 100% device on the front will be a reality.
