Xiaomi today has launched two new models for their Mi Box. The launched Xiaomi Mi Box 4 and Mi Box 4C have smaller sizes and less curved outer designs compared to Mi Box before.
In terms of specifications Mi Box 4 is still using a 1.5 GHz four-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor, memory of 2GB RAM and storage of 8 Gigabytes. It is capable of displaying videos at 4K HDR resolution. There are video support H.265, HDR10, Dolby Audio and DTS-HD.
A remote control comes with voice control support. An HDMI and USB-A output is included at the back. On paper there was no update on the internal components of Mi Box 4 compared to Mi Box 3S before.
Mi Box 4C is a cheaper model with a memory difference of only 1GB of RAM and audio support is limited to DTS-HD. Both models have a body design of 95 x 95 x 16 mm and weighs 146 grams. Xiaomi Mi Box 4 is sold at RMB 349 while Mi Box 4C is at RMB 249.
