Xiaomi Mi 8


Xiaomi Mi 8 officially launched today as it confirms Xiaomi over seven in the Mi family device naming this year. It uses a 6.21-inch Samsung AMOLED peripheral screen and supports the always on Display and HDR 10. However the screen resolution is limited to FHD +. This made it the first Xiaomi device to use the screens and OLED screens.

Xiaomi Mi 8 is generated by the Snapdragon 845 processor, memory of 6 GB RAM and storage of 64/128/256 GB UFS. No microSD card support is provided. The main camera is 12 + 12 Megapixel f / 1.8 + f / 2.4 used on the back. One sensor with wide-angle lens while another with 2X optical zoom lens. This is the same configuration and design as used in Mi MIX 2S before.
 

The 20-Megapixel f / 2.0 camera has the support of infrared transmitter. This allows the device to unlock the system using the face used in the dark. All of these infrared camera systems and transmitters are placed at the bottom of the screen. There is also a circular fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.

Both back and forward cameras have artificial intelligence support that analyzes the objects they want to take. It then takes pictures on the optimum settings to take the best picture. Photo with bokeh effect can also be done even if only one camera is equipped. 

 

Xiaomi Mi 8 also has dual-band GPS support to ensure the accuracy of navigation applications even when in between buildings. This smartphone is the first in the world to use this dual-band GPS technology.

A 3400 mAh battery provides power to the device. It supports QuickCharge 4.0+ quick charging and Qi 18W wireless charging. Charging is done via the USB-C port.

In China Xiaomi Mi 8 is sold at RMB 2699 for 64GB version, RMB 2999 for 128GB version and RMB 3299 for 256GB version. Color choices are black, white, blue and gold.
