MP3 Tapeless Deck Project Turning Old Tape Players into Digital Music Players

I grew up in the 80s and the use of cassette players is the same as using music streaming apps now. At home there is a large Hi-Fi set complete with a black plate player. Over thirty years have passed and the cassette player for the Hi-Fi system just collects dust and rust at home.

For fans of this classic tapes, the MP3 Tapeless Deck Project was developed by Artur Mlynarz from Poland. He's an old cassette player who turns him into a current MP3 music player. All the buttons and meters in this modernized tape player function as normal. Even inside the deck of the cassette player there is a revolving "tapes".

It's actually a smartphone screen that is modified and put into a deck of tapes. The "cassette" design can be changed according to the needs of users. The title of the song, artist and album is displayed on the "cassette" for when music is played. Controlling players can also be done by pressing the wheels. In addition to playing MP3 files, it can also, play FLAC files, stream music and internet radio.

Among the deck of the modified classic tape players are branded Marantz, Onkyo, Aiwa, Technics, Pioneer and Akai. The Tapeless Deck Project MP3 sells some classical cassette players with prices ranging from € 190. Since it is a cassette deck, users should have a set of separate amplifiers and speakers to use the Tapeless Deck MP3.
