ASUS Introduces ASUS ROG Phone

Lately, there are various smart device makers present with products built specifically for the purpose of mobile games. Xiaomi and Razer are seen between the two brands that popularize the device, and it seems that ASUS will enter their name into the ring.


At their own announcement event before the COMPUTEX Taipei 2018 event, they announced a number of new devices, among them the ASUS ROG Phone smartphone with this awesome enough specification.

ASUS ROG Phone comes with a 6.0-inch AMOLED IPS screen display with a 2160 × 1080 pixel display resolution at the 18: 9 ratio. This display also has a refresh rate of 90Hz and intervals of as low as 1ms only promising fast and accurate finger input.

 

From the point of processing chip, ASUS uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip that is self-selected by ASUS. This is because every Snapdragon 845 chip used in this ROG Phone comes with a speed of 2.96GHz which is faster than most Snapdragon 845 processors out there as well as Adreno 630 graphics chip, which is said to be the most powerful graphics chip from Qualcomm so far.

It also comes with 8GB LPDDR4 memory and 128GB or 512GB UFS 2.1 storage options. More interestingly, this ROG Phone device is still equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack to enable you to use headphones during your gaming sessions.

 

ASUS notes that ROG Phone will also be equipped with the Android Oreo operating system when it comes to the market with a new interface named ROG Gaming UI.

This ASUS ROG Phone device also comes with the X Mode feature where it is activated, it will clear memory and remove unnecessary data from storage, while enabling the CPU to always operate at the maximum level when it is used to deploy game which requires CPU and GPU performance higher, and accessible through the Game Center app, where users can control multiple features on this ROG Phone device.

This smart device also comes with a variety of features and designs that are interesting enough to make sure you can play your favorite candy without any problems.

 

This includes the use of two USB-C plug-in at the bottom and side of the device that comes with the intention of allowing this device to be used with a variety of other accessories as well as to make it easier to charge the device while you are fiercely playing your favorite game. This side post allows the device to be held at horizontal position without the charging cable and the audio disrupts the position of the hand. When matched with the Aeroactive cooling system, there is still a connection for this audio and USB-C jack.

ASUS also uses a GameCool cooling system that uses a vapor-chamber cooling technology that will ensure that your device stays cool throughout your game session.

 

Although this ROG Phone device is a device designed specifically for gaming purposes, it is still equipped with two pairs of rear camera lenses at 12MP and 8MP resolution, while the front is also equipped with a 8MP resolution camera. It is seen using the same camera system as ASUS Zenfone 5 and also comes with PixelMaster technology.

At the back there is a trapezoid shaped fingerprint scanner. Such designs have never been seen before. At the same time the ROG logo on the back panel of the device is also present with RGB light support.

ASUS targets the third quarter of 2018 to manufacture this ASUS ROG Phone device in several markets, including Taiwan, China, Southeast Asia and Japan before other markets. Currently, the price for this device has not yet been shown.
